The JPPF is a national forum and consists of all the procurement managers of PURCO SA member institutions. It has a strategic focus and plays an advisory role on procurement matters to both the PURCO SA office and the Board of Directors. The Forum is chaired by the CEO of PURCO SA and operates by way of member advisory committees and working groups. The Forum meets on a quarterly basis.

The objectives of the Joint Procurement Planning Forum (JPPF) are:

  • maximise benefits for PURCO SA members through truly volume driven contracts;
  • achieve better commercials deals, including better pricing, than what a single university can achieve on its own;
  • stimulate discussion and debate on how joint procurement can and should benefit our membership base;
  • be inclusive of all procurement managers from all PURCO SA members;
  • promote joint procurement coordination and planning for all PURCO SA members on a national basis;
  • improve networking, contact and communication between all stakeholders;
  • investigate new opportunities for joint procurement by PURCO SA members.
